With more than 35 years of executive leadership in Canada’s oil and natural gas industry, along with extensive experience serving on corporate, academic, and community boards, Bill Andrew brought exceptional strategic insight, sound governance, and a wealth of experience to WEICan’s Board of Directors for two terms: 2006-2008 and 2013-2026.

A proud Islander, Bill has always been deeply committed to giving back to Prince Edward Island. While WEICan’s work and impact extend across Canada, we are proud to be a national research institute based in PEI, and Bill’s commitment to strengthening his home province has been reflected in his long-standing support of our organization. He has generously shared his knowledge, experience, and leadership with organizations working to build a stronger future for the province.

During his time on WEICan’s Board, Bill’s thoughtful leadership, sound judgment, and commitment to advancing renewable energy research and innovation helped guide the organization through years of growth and success. We are incredibly grateful for the time, expertise, and perspective he has contributed to WEICan.
