We had a great time participating in STEAM PEI’s EcoGirls Summer Camp to give them a hands-on introduction to wind energy!

Students in Summerside and Charlottetown learned how wind turbines generate electricity, explored the wind farms across Prince Edward Island through a virtual tour, and discovered how different wind turbine blade designs can affect performance.

Then it was time to put their knowledge to the test! Students designed and built their own turbine blades, experimented with different shapes and materials, and tested their designs on a small wind turbine to see how well they performed.

It was a fun day of learning, experimenting, and getting creative with renewable energy. A big thank you to STEAM PEI for including us in their camp!
