Degree or Program: MASc, Computer and Electrical Engineering

Effective Date(s): Jun 05/2023 - May 31/2024

Trevor joined the Wind Energy Institute (WEICan) in June, 2023. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, and his master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Ontario. While at Waterloo, he researched flow cell metal-air batteries with target applications in renewable energy storage. He also developed superhydrophobic surfaces with applications ranging from marine fouling prevention to wind turbine anti-icing as a visiting researcher at Harvard University. At the University of Ottawa, with the SUNLAB, he researched and developed tools to accurately predict energy yield for bifacial photovoltaic panels and systems, including quantifying the impact of racking structure partial shading and reflections on energy yield. Trevor is excited to help advance wind and solar energy research in Canada and help decarbonize Canada’s power grid!
