Syed Imran Ali is a third year Sustainable Design Engineering student at University of Prince Edward Island. Imran joined WEICan in May 2025 for a MITACS summer internship. Presently, Imran is involved in lubricant condition monitoring of wind turbine gearbox and WinDrive systems. The condition monitoring supports the industry partner’s efforts to identify the impact of oil conversions and oil starvation on the turbine’s service life performance. Imran aspires to make meaningful contributions towards the development of sustainable energy in Prince Edward Island.
