Rolla is a Computer Science student from Egypt studying at the University of Prince Edward Island. She is currently doing her first co-op work term from May to August 2026; she has been working on a renewable energy research project focused on developing an image-processing algorithm to detect snow accumulation on solar panels. Her work explores how computer vision and machine learning can be used to improve the reliability and efficiency of solar energy systems in harsh winter environments.
