Rebecca MacIntyre graduated from UPEI with a B.Sc. Sustainable Design Engineering and a minor in Mathematics in 2024. They will be continuing their education at Carleton University in the M.A.Sc. Mechanical Engineering program. They first joined the WEICan team in May 2023 for a 4-month summer term and returned for another 4-month summer term in 2024. Their current work involves monitoring and analyzing WEICan's solar panels for changes in production due to various factors and making proposals for improvements. They have also researched certification requirements for small wind turbines and helped with the installation a camera on one of the wind turbines to monitor blade conditions over time.
