Ehsan joined the Wind Energy Institute of Canada (WEICan) , through Mitacs Program, as an intern student for four months in winter 2017 while pursuing his Phd in electrical engineering in University of Calgary. His main responsibilities involved operation of energy storage systems and wind turbines in providing ancillary services considering their technical constraints. His Phd thesis was on optimal operation and sizing of energy storage systems in competitive electricity markets. Ehsan graduated from University of Calgary in 2017 and since then he is working as an energy market analyst at EDC Associates Ltd in Calgary.
