Launch of PEI hydrogen shuttle bus demonstration project - expanded opportunities for the Hydrogen Village Project at North Cape
30 November 2007
Today saw the opening of a demonstration bus service using two hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine (ICE) buses together with a hydrogen fueling station in Charlottetown, PEI.
The Government of Canada and the Government of Prince Edward Island, together with partners, the Ford Motor Company of Canada and Air Liquide Canada, launched the project that is part of a wider Canadian hydrogen initiative and which is also connected with the demonstration wind-hydrogen project that WEICan is currently developing, in conjunction with PEI Energy Corp., at its North Cape site.
