WEICan - DEWI agree exclusive framework agreement for the provision of Type Testing services in North America.
WEICan and DEWI have agreed a framework agreement in accordance with which both parties will work together on an exclusive basis in order to provide the North American wind industry with Type Testing services. The formal signing will take place later this month.
Commenting on the agreement WEICan's Executive Director, Anne Forbes, said "WEICan has been involved with DEWI since the late 1980's before DEWI was even formally constituted. I am therefore thrilled that we have finally formalized the excellent working relationship which we have developed over that time."
She added "This agreement is wonderful news for DEWI as it extends their global reach to one of the largest wind energy markets in the world. And it is excellent news for WEICan as this agreement further enhances our ability to deliver on our core mission which is to provide testing and research services to the North American wind energy industry."
The Managing Director of DEWI, Jens Peter Molly said "Since DEWI was established 17 years ago, we have gained enormous experience in testing and certification services for the wind energy industry. Type Testing is undertaken in order to demonstrate a turbine's power performance and is typically comprised of safety tests, load and power performance measurements as well as static and fatigue blade tests.
