Hendrick Bindner

  Senior Scientist, Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy

Henrik Bindner is a Senior Scientist at Intelligent Energy Systems Research Programme, Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy. He has a background in electrical engineering and control systems.

He has worked in the field of integration of wind power into power systems and island systems with a high penetration of renewable energy. Currently he is researching integration of renewable energy in the context of intelligent power systems with particular focus development of smart grids and supporting technologies such as application of batteries.

He has been responsible for and project manager for establishing an experimental facility for distributed intelligent power systems, SYSLAB, that include wind turbines, PV plant, batteries as well as other equipment and an advanced distributed control infrastructure.

He has been project manager of many national and international projects and is currently also supervising several PhD students.
