Paul Dockrill MSc
Director of Technology
Paul has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Technical University of Nova Scotia, 1981) and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in control systems (Imperial College of Science and Technology, 1988).
His work has taken him to a wide range of positions, industries and locales. He has worked across Canada and overseas designing and commissioning energy systems in power stations, pulp and paper mills and oil refineries.
Previous to WEICan Paul managed an engineering group within the federal government that analyzed energy usage at federal facilities and provided project services for installing leading edge energy systems. In this position Paul oversaw a number of wind turbine projects, from resource assessment to installing small and large wind turbines.
Paul has had a long-time interest in studying the wind having been part of national sailing championship crews and competing in the 2000 BT Global Challenge round the world yacht race.
